2020 Membership due is waived

How Many Positions are open for this Election

There are three board members expiring their terms. So, there will be three positions to fill.

Who can vote

Any current member who has paid their dues – Since this year’s membership due is waived, you should have paid last years’, if you don’t pay this years’.
A new member has to pay their dues at least 30 days before the election – Since this years’ membership is waived, you just need to turn in you membership form 30 days before the election date.

Who can run for Election

You should turn in your signed nomination on or before 04 November 2020
You need to be a member in good standing at least 2 years
You need to be nominated by three members who have paid membership dues
2020 Dues are waived for everyone

How to Nominate a Candidate

You may download Election Nomination Form, print, fill in the details, get it signed and drop at Masjid.

Election Nomination Form will also be available at Masjid so that you don’t have to download and print.

Voting Method

By secret sealed ballot. Each member will be given a ballot package that contains

(a) a ballot,

(b) a ballot-envelope with a line for voter name and signature, and

Note that the ballot will not bear any name or markings identifying the voter.

For a ballot to be counted the voter should

(a) mark candidate(s) of choice on the ballot,

(b) insert it in the envelope,

(d) put it in the ballot box.

For those who want an absentee ballot the voter should mail the ballot- envelope inside another one deliver it to ICQC by postal or other means.

Email/Digital Voting

Voting by Email or Text is not anonymous. To vote by this means, you need to send an email or text from your email/phone to the Election Commissioner. Election commissioner will send you the ballot and you may return it back with your vote. Election Commissioner contact details are published above.

Appeals Procedure

Any appeal by the Nominee/Nominator on the disqualification must be made to the election commissioner within 48 hours of getting notification of disqualification.
In case the decision of the election committee is not satisfactory, nominee/nominator can appeal to the chairman of the board of trustees (BOT). Chairman will bring this to board and after due deliberation will decide based on the bylaws and majority opinion.
